Biden Takes Stronger Line with Israel
This is the headline to the above-link-to-article. Although, to be honest, the -er on stronger has me edgy and kinda nervous.
A welcome change from the past adminstrations, sure. Question is - will it really happen? The two-state solution is the only option. I mean, its like - LOGICAL. You know, like the cylinder fits into the cylindric hole. And the cube goes through the square hole. Its easy. Sure, you might be able to fit the cylinder through the square if you use a hammer. Bashing away - eventually - it´ll go through I expect. But look at what happens to the once smooth unchaffed cylinder. Lots of damage.
A two-state solution would definitely lengthen the fuse in the whole Middle East powder keg-ready-to-explode situation. Its all part of the hugely complicated problem of the whole Muslim world - issue. It all connects in a very intricately woven tapestry of repression, outrage, abuse, misunderstandings, internal division and diversitites - fueling the radicals with frustrated human ammunition, ready to give their lives for a cause not only they - the Palestinians - see as a huge outrage of injustice.
